Biography: Marie Curie

She went on to study physics at the Sorbonne - one of 23 women among 2,000  students - and was rated first above them all.
Following their experiments with  radioactivity, Marie and her husband Pierre received the Nobel Prize in physics. 
In 1911, after Pierre's death, Marie was awarded a second Nobel Prize, this time  in chemistry.
