Karen Wallace was born in Canada and grew up in the backwoods of Quebec. She moved to the UK when she was eleven years old. She has had well over a hundred books published by Macmillan, Simon & Schuster, Collins, OUP and many others. She was nominated for the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize for her memoir Raspberries on the Yangtze. Karen lives in Kington, Herefordshire.
